The Stereodetune is a simple device with a single section of controls.

Stereodetune controls
Figure 7.18.1: The Stereodetune's controls.

  1. Active: This indicator lights up when the pedal’s effect is active.
  2. Tune: This knob sets the amount of pitch shift applied to each stereo channel between 10 Hz under the original pitch for the left channel and 10 Hz over the original pitch for the right channel at minimum, no pitch shift at center and 10 Hz over the original pitch for the left channel and 10 Hz under the original pitch for the right channel at maximum. Note: After being pitch-shifted and delayed, the stereo channels are inverted. Therefore, the positive and negative pitch shifts are output on the opposite channel.
  3. Delay: This knob sets the amount of delay for both stereo channels from 1 millisecond at minimum to 15 milliseconds at maximum. Note: Delay times close to the maximum can soften the sharpness of the resulting sound’s attack.
  4. Active: This switch activates the pedal’s effect. When this switch is off, the input signal bypasses the effect and is output unaltered.
