The Delay is a software simulation of a digital delay effect pedal. It simulates the echo of a sound in an acoustic space by recording the input signal into a buffer and playing it back after a set time, optionally feeding it back into the buffer, generating a series of decaying echoes. It lets you add ambiance or presence to a sound, place it in a specific space and also create rhythmic patterns when used with sounds of short duration. It provides controls to set the amount of echoes, their separation in time, the wet/dry signal mix, as well as apply or bypass the effect. The Delay is normally used as a send effect.
