The Accreditation Commission makes the final determination as to the addition of a satellite or a component site to a current program.

At the conclusion of the process to add a satellite or to add a component site, the Commission Reviewer will bring a recommendation to the Commission. The Commission will take one of the following actions:

  1. Approve the addition of the satellite or component site
  2. Approve the addition of the satellite or component site with areas of non-compliance that must be addressed within a specified time frame
  3. Deny the addition of the satellite or component site, delineating the specific reasons for the denial.

Centers may appeal an adverse accreditation decision. See Appeal of Adverse Decisions of the Commission for more information.
