Just added to your Video Manager:
A new setting to have you videos start playing automatically after opening a topic:

In the past we have seen multiple cases where an inadvertent error in the topic code (often related to including HTML code), could break the editor page. Which in turn made it impossible to fix the error 🙁

We have now made the editor system more robust against errors like this.

Manula is growing and growing. More customers publishing online manuals and a lot more readers visiting all these online manuals.

To be able to deal with the increased load on our server, we have moved it to a new hosting solution last Monday.
A dedicated high-end web-server, with a separate server for the database.

Looking at our server monitoring tools, response times have dropped about 30 to 40 percent!

Next step: a faster solution for serving all manual images.

Great news for users who have integrated their manuals on their own domain:

We have been able to improve the performance of the integration system, so opening, browsing and searching your integrated manuals is now much faster.

New in your live manual:
A quick version selector in the top, allowing your readers to easily switch between multiple versions of your manual.

This week we moved Manula’s search system over to the widely used “Elastic Search” technology.

The result is that searches are now much faster and that we can finally support Google-like exact match search using quotes.

For example, searching for “by barcode” between double quotes will only return topics where those two words appear together and in that order. Without quotes, the search will give all that topics that just contains those words, anywhere.

By popular demand, we have added some extra ways to customize the cover pages for the generated PDF manuals.

• Where previously the cover page always just side your configured Side Bar image, there is now a separate customization option for the Cover Sheet Image, so that you can upload an image different from the Side Bar image.
• On top of that, you can now also upload a Full Page Cover image that will be included in front of the normal cover sheet.

You may have been wondering about the lack of feature updates for well over a month. Well, this is why. We have been working on a complete rewrite and redesign of the Image and Video Managers, making them clearer, easier-to-use and adding a few features.

A new setting for customizing the copyright footer is now available under Account Settings.
Here’s how to customize your copyright footer”:

• Login to your account at http://admin.manula.com
• Click the little “gear” button at the top right choose “Account Settings” from the menu that appears.
• Now switch to the Customize tab.
• Under Footer, enter your custom copyright text.
• Click Save Changes at the bottom.

Now live in your Manula account, a new Subscription page. With a clearer display of all the info you need about your current plan, upgrade possibilities, etc..

At the same time, we’ve also updated the check-out process for upgrading your plan.
