Starkit has been designed keeping in mind most hardware that abounds, so it is highly likely that if your hardware is not too uncommon, Starkit will work on your machine right off the bat! Nonetheless, you should check if your hardware works with Starkit and meets the minimum system requirements.

  • Intel Dual/Quad-Core CPUs >2GHz
  • At least 8 GB of system memory (RAM), 16 GB recommended for best performance.
  • 100 GB of disk space

Starkit can be installed from a USB flash drive. This may be necessary for computers without CD drives and is handy for others because a USB flash drive is so convenient.

You need a copy of the Starkit installer CD image (.iso) so that you can put it on a memory stick.
