Using your email provider’s archiving service is the largest mistake newbies do. You pay hefty subscriptions to your current provider such as Google Apps or Office 365 for email archiving that will work only for email hosted with them. What about your other email accounts not hosted with them? Bad luck… they are not supported.

But it can get a lot worse than that. I have seen email accounts just completely shut down for no obvious reason. You know what? Your email archive is busted too! You lose all your email data overnight!

Can you imagine the stress of knowing that all important information in your email is lost forever and your business is going to come crashing to a halt. Well, let me tell you. Nothing will prepare you for the panic you feel when this happens.

What if you are the guy, holding all the cards? What if the email data was stored securely by you, instead of the other way around?
