Starkit has a built-in backup system. You should perform regular backups of your system and keep multiple backup copies of your data. You can set your Starkt to do daily automatic backups. Without multiple backup copies of your data, your data do not exist anywhere except on your Starkit appliance disk.

If there is hardware failure you need to re-install Starkit on a different machine and do a restore. If it was a hard disk failure you can keep using the same machine and just change the hard disk with a new one. When restore is complete, Starkit will restart and will be an exact same copy of your Starkit when the backup was done.
