Segmentation > Watershed

Segments the Current Image by first interpreting its grayscale values as topography (ie, basins within level ground). A rainfall simulation is then run such that areas similar intensity are separated from others, where their brains fill to meet [1].

1. Markers

2. Watershed Connectivity

  • 8-pixel: Use 8-pixel connectivity to determine seeds for watershed
  • 4-pixel: Use 4-pixel connectivity to determine seeds for watershed

3. Adjustment Connectivity

  • 8-pixel: Use 8-pixel connectivity to adjust watershed strength by suppressing elevation minima before watersheding
  • 4-pixel: Use 4-pixel connectivity to adjust watershed strength by suppressing elevation minima before watersheding

4. Thickness

Thickness of watershed lines

5. Weakness

Controls strength of watershed. Higher weaknesses result in few watershed lines.
