The Social Squared Add-In requires a SQL Server Database to be deployed for performance reasons. This enables you to have forums groups displayed throughout your tenant whilst providing great performance for thousands of users.

The deployment of the Social Squared Add-In for Office 365 requires several steps to be completed which are listed below:

  1. Upload the SocialSquared.app file to the SharePoint App Catalog
  2. Add the Social Squared Add-In to your SharePoint Team Site
  3. Create and configure the Social Squared SQL Server Database within SQL Azure
  4. Set the Connection String within the Social Squared Add-In for the SQL Server Database
