What is the UV DEGREE Table?

This table contains degree data for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at a university by term and institution attended. Terms include Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Institutions include Arizona universities your students have attended before or after they attended your institution, based on the files submitted by your institution.

What is the key (unique identifier for a row) for this table?

Unique records are determined by Semester, Arizona Unitid, ASSIST Student ID, UV College Code, UV Degree Code, and UV Major Code. In other words, there is one record per semester per university per student per college/degree/major.

Why would you use this table?

If you are a community college, you would want to use this table to determine how many of your students completed a baccalaureate degree at a university and to determine how long it took them to complete this degree.

If you are a university, you would want to use this table to determine how many of your entering students completed a baccalaureate degree at your institution and how many transferred and completed a degree at another university.

Notes on using this table:

(1) In this table, Arizona Unitid refers ONLY to universities.

(2) If you are a community college, you will need to join this table with the UV UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER INST table by Arizona Unitid and Assist Student ID. You can then limit UV Transfer Institution Code to your institution and limit Semester to less than the degree semester to select only those students who attended your institution PRIOR to completing a baccalaureate degree.
